Story By: J.J. Andrews

Nick Ladyga was “having a good run before it was cut short” in Allentown.  “We didn’t have the result we were looking for after getting wrecked out of the feature, but we were having a good run,” said Ladyga.  Ladyga drives the Chris Ladyga owned 2014 Lafler Chassis ride, powered by a Pippard Racing engines power plant.  His only other experience at AC was an 8th, last year.  In the summer, Ladyga races tour type modifieds, and ran the TQ to a 4th last season at the New London – Waterford Speedbowl.

Asked about the importance of the time trial: “Your time trial lap is extremely important. It really sets the tone for your whole weekend, and if you have a bad lap it can really put you behind the eight ball.”

Ladyga added, “I think we have a good shot at winning this year. With last year being my first season of indoor racing, I’ve gotten a few heat wins and a 20 lap qualifier win in Trenton. If we can put ourselves in the right position in the feature I think we have a good shot at a win.  The indoor races are probably the most competitive races in the country. You get guys from all different tracks that race all different types of cars. There is a lot of contact which is understandable as it’s such a small track, but it does get out of hand at times and I feel like the officials need to do a better job enforcing rough riding calls and handling the overaggressive drivers accordingly.  I’m just looking for a solid result in AC. We have a great team and have shown we have the speed to run up front at all the races we’ve been to. As long as, we are in the right position, I feel like we are a threat to win.”

“I also want to thank our sponsors Claim Specialists Inc. and the New London Waterford Speedbowl for all of their support this indoor season.”
